Deadline to donate: Thursday April 3rd as we would like to have some kind of auction program generated in advance.

Just my suggestion. Thx you

Are you talking about this past year or the year before? It does take the first 30 minutes to get a flow going as we do not do this as part of our normal day lives. But once the ball is rolling things start to move on a lot quicker.

The 2013 auction actually had about 50 more frags and we were done by 4pm and out by 5pm as anticipated. We actually did more in less time than the prevous year.

Did you check out this link? We actually adress this more for this years auction. Feel free to PM me with questions.

This is a business update for the membership.

For the past several years we have slowly been making enhancements to the auction to address some of the concerns of the membership.

You may have noticed one year we moved to waterproof labels to eliminate all the writing and running of the marker ink.

Last year you may have noticed there were more pictures available and linked to a database to track auction results. This eliminated having to go to the internet and search for a like picture of a coral, which is not always available in all our venue locations.

You would have also noticed that it took less time to pick your corals up from the pick up area. This was due to breaking down the lots into small groups and having your own personal coolers on hand... So do not forget to purchase your cooler off the auction thread now or bring your own to the meeting (purchase now and you get your screen name added for free).

You may have also noticed the introduction of the Square card reader for credit cards. This helped up the payment process and you did not have to carry all that extra cash around.

Last year we turned around more donation items in less time than the previous year.

This year we have escalated our efforts and need donors to help in that effort. It is important to provide a picture of the actual coral or the mother colony with a good description of what is being donated. Lets face it... nothing makes you more irate than to learn what you purchased was not what you thought it was.

Granted all the funds are going to the club, but we still want to have a AWESOME TIME!

Well take a minute to look over the .pdf file that is attached.

We are going to make the check out process even better and faster.

We are even going to post a Auction booklet containing all the items being auctioned off. You will be able to pull it down from the web using your smart phone.

I do not know about the rest of you, but I am getting all excited about this years auction...

So get those donations in TODAY! See you on auction day!

Don't forget to bring your coolers ( they don't have to be the BRS coolers). You can leave them with me at the pick up table.....

Michelle, if we ordered one in the past couple weeks, will you be bringing it with you to the event anyways?

Really quick question..

I plan on attending my first auction with my son...cannot wait. If we get lucky and grab a few items do we need to wait until the whole auction is over or when we are done can we go tot eh pick up area and grab our stuff and leave. Reason is family party later in the day and I am kind of worried my son will get bored and start to be a hand full.

Thanks

Not sure how old he is, but I believe we will be having a kids table. Once the auction starts moving it goes pretty quickly. Over the past couple of years I have noticed that kids between the age of 9-13 seem to like it especially if you involve them in the bidding. Have them do the bidding based upon a head nod you give them or a wink of he eye.

Oh I know I am even letting him have a budget or a set amount he can spend on what ever he wants. Thanks for the info and we will see you then

should be 2 more sleeps, But I'm not going to be able to sleep Fri. night, to excited... Is that sad or what?

Hi, I have a long drive to the auction. Does the actual Auction start at 11:00 A.M. or is that doors open at 11:00 A.M.? Is there a viewing time before auction & if so, what time is that? Thanks
