2025 New England Frag Farmer's Market Invite - 3/1/25 - Storrs CT

Added to Calendar: 03-01-25

This is great, I managed to change some plans and should be able to make it. This is my first time, so exciting! Do we pay admission at the entrance? Do we need cash? The raffle is at the very end, 4-5pm? Do you think that I can bring my kids (3-5yo) or is it too crowded?
Thanks and sorry for so many questions :)
yes pay at the door
cash is king easier to wheel and deal but most take cards and electronic payments too.
As for kids you could, it does get crowded. I have seen people bring their youngsters. not a lot of room for a carriage if needed though.
Raffle starts at 4:00 if I recall correctly.

Great to hear DJ! Admission at the door. We don't do advanced sales.
Some vendors take cards, but not all. some take Venmo, Paypal, etc... but not all. ALL vendors take cash. I always recommend that you bring as much cash as you can, then use your cards where you can, and the cash where you can't. The FFM is OVERWHELMING with the number of vendors and corals. You will find some amazing pieces at amazing prices- probably more than you want to but it only comes once a year! As far as kids go, it is a bit crowded in some spots, but the crowds tend to move along. There are certainly things for kids to do/look at for little guys - go visit Diverman for sure! If you need a break, there are restaurants across the street.

Oh yeah, we also are doing a stroller check to go with the cooler check. Just like a coat check but with coolers or strollers. Best part? Its free!
Floor plan looks amazingl! You continue to make the show greater and more abominations every year! FFM is the show you can't miss if you have a reef tank!

There's a kids room ( Diverman) with a chill out spot and kids activities, I walk around in costume and host a reef book nook corner. Upfront there are vendors dedicated specifically towards kids and families.

Wow guys thanks a lot for the great infos!!! I am still considering…would be nice to be able to enjoy it without saying continuously: ehi stop, carful there, do not do that etcc… you got the point. However, if i need to its better than not coming. Looking forward to meet some of you there!

There is a large kids area in a closed off room, and there's many family oriented vendors. Not as bad place for family to enjoy at all

Great show as as @fitch4. Thanks for always allowing us to be a part of it.

What did everybody score at FFM today? I scored a nice yellow/orange combo sun coral, cloves, blasto, framers, Fungia plate, galaxia and a few other small items.

Biggest score was several amazing macro algaes for my remote display refugium!

I moved a large portion of the pom pom and the unknown black macro I got to the sump to make room for 6-7 new macros and a feather duster! Sorry about the crappy picture I had just put in a ton of fresh BBS!

I picked up some red banded trochus from @BackwoodsReefs, a dozen lysmata wurdemanni peppermints, a pink and a blue dottyback from Roger Williams University and 5 rock flowers from Pristine Marine Aquariums. Also, scored a nice 2025 FFM shirt from @fitch4

I got smaller frags of bubble bath unicorn, fox flame, and pink cadillac. Smaller frags of beach bum and aqua man monties. A little raja rampage frag and a little frag of the heron island turbinaria. Oh and a bigger frag of goldenrod Anacropora. Definitely appreciate all of the organizers and vendors. Fantastic prices and awesome to see so many vendors growing corals in the region. Great to have that in driving distance and only $10 to get in!

Thanks to @mandarin for going out of his way to drive me to the show, much appreciated. Also, text me a price for some utter chaos when you get a chance, hoping to b on the he road sooner than later and would love to see the setup

Looks like everyone had a fantastic time at the show. I had many vendors I contacted who had items I wanted. I was unfortunately held over at the fire station. I had every intention on going but duty calls… it sucks I have to wait an entire year for the next show. Let’s consider this a 2 day event next time lol. If any southern MA or RI vendors have an abundance of leftover corals/inverts I’m interested.
