Somebody stop me... I can't control myself.

Sump Stand is completed!! This 2X4 construction is 1 foot off the floor to help my old back and to help insulate the sump. You can see where the overflow will come down from the room above and enter the 75G sump. There will be a refugium on the far side, fed by a "T" and a ball valve. I will be using a Mag 18 or other large pump to push water back to the first floor. You can also see the RO/DI unit and holding tank that will be my auto top off.

And no hard liquor can be served ;)

didn't you just downsize? ;)

I downsized the DISPLAY... but miss the rush of 100+ gallons of ocean whirring through my home ;)

*L* yeah... I guess. My take is the following...

I have more room in the sump for error in times of pump failure (the 6 gallon sump flooded in the recent power outage), I will have more room for a full blown fuge (this is a seahorse tank so the more the merrier), and can make my family room upstairs that much more quiet having the pumps, skimmer etc. downstairs. Plus... Gustavo is DYIN to cut a hole in the floor of my brand new house :)

I have a 125 gallon display with 175 gallons in the basement... not quite up to your standards though :)

That's right...you're the dude who took the tanks from AA in NH. That must be some kicking sump system!
