400 Gallon system startup....

Thanks Nate (Joe and Bill also)

I feel alittle better about it too...after sitting there for a while and looking at it I added 14 more 2x4's from the picture earlier today, and the great feeling was that each cut was repeatable on my mitre saw so I know the thing is level...I just finished cutting the 3/4" plywood top and bottom..I just need to notch the bottom with my jigsaw tomorrow so I can drop that in and I should be set with the stand...Next is to cut the hole in the wall...

PS Joe that is a nice looking stand...

camarojweed that stand will hold NO problem!! i build stands on the side . that stand 300+g if you wanted!!hear are some pic. of a stand i maid for sea creatures in revere.

Those pics don't show the inside of the stand...

Anyway, regarding Jason's stand, I'd feel much safer now knowing that those inexpensive reinforcements he added really make for a much stronger stand, and he's not taking a chance on supporting more than a ton of tank on just a few nails.

Dude, I think the stand in your avitar has something wrong with it. Or is it going to be one of those tanks where the water continuously flows downhill?

I just updated my website, if you click the link to page 2 you will see where i am at, I just got 100 lbs of amazing rock in straight from Tonga, with little layover..there are like 1 ft long black bristle worms still alive..I have purchased Walt Smiths Figi Premium and this stuff was so much better...we actuall got frags off it...This is going to be the standard rock carried by Fin and Feather in Groton Ct from now on. I should be putting the tank in place on Monday to start the plumbing...
