Got the tank used. Then got another.. never set up.
Passed a 2 week water test then sat in my basement.
Wound up getting a Pro-star tank instead.
I painted the stand and added thick plywood to the base and a 2x2s around the edges. I painted it with 3-4 coats (its hard to cover up black!) with bathroom mold proof paint and then sprayed high gloss clear coat. Door hinges are rusty and should be swapped out.
I believe it's dated 2017. Tempered glass.
Prev. used as a saltwater from a retired aquarium service company owner of Seascapes Aquarium on the Cape. The silicone when viewed from the outside has a few tiny zig zag lines in it, it does not change when filled. I've looked at other 54g tanks and seen the same thing. Any used tank is always buy at you're own risk. That's why I did the long water test. Prev. owner said he'd trust it in a client's home for another 10 yrs. One very light scratch only visible with flashlight.
Middleboro 495 exit 2.
Weighs roughly 70lbs.
Would gladly talk about a coral trade to help fill my other tank up!
