Acclimating fish from qt

Hey fellow reefers,

Putting a fish in my display tonight after QT for 8 weeks (no treatment)

Display has been running empty for 8+ weeks due to ich(lost all my fish)

My question to y'all is do I have to go through my regular hour long drip process?

Display and qt parameters match. So I figure just scoop him and plop him? (not litterally obviously)

I Hate To say it but i float 45min and let go.....but i kinda use a Lps as quarantine. I wont list names But Most company's say float and release...

I don't think any LFS would waste money like that. It makes no sense

Just didn't feel the need to healthy fish no signs of anything.

So I just plan on floating the bag at lights out I guess...

I'd never drip acclimate a fish or float a bag that long.
Just take portions of water from the DT and add it to the bag for about 30 minutes,then release.
I have never lost a fish adding it to the DT or QT like this.

You should always treat either way...sometimes certain things can live dormant and you can't see any signs of sickness...BUT as far as acclimation, do like he said ^^^. Float the bag for 15 or so minutes, add a cup of tank water or so to the bag every 8-10 minutes doing this 3 times and then add the fish to the tank.

Doing Good when I left from Work Ate Some Fish Goo Last Night and The Algae Sheet I Left in there was half gone this morning.

He was eating like a pig in QT nice and plump and Great Color. Will try to post pic in his new home after work.
