Acro Eating Emerald Crab

I just watched my emerald crab tare a polip off my green slimer acro and eat it. He totally broke off one of the hard spines and ate it. It looks like he only took off one. I guess he didn't find it too tasty. I feed my tank well so I doubt he is starving to death and had to find some kind of food.

I must say this is the first time I have ever seen or heard on something like this.

I used to have one that would eat the tips off my birdnest. The coral had hundreds of tips and he just ate the very end so I never worried about it.
