Acropora food

My current dosage is 1 mL per 100 gallon of water volume.
But each tank is different. Test nitrate is a good way to monitor it. Test the 2nd day after dosing. If nitrate is over 10 ppm, back off the dosing. If your nitrate is over 10 ppm, don’t dose it.

What happened to good ole light and clean water? Some of my best sps/men’s came from that. Dong - you bought most of them!

That was 15 years ago. Light and clean water is still perfectly fine, but feeding coral allow them to grow much faster.

Back then, my largest sps system was drawing 1 to 2 dkh alk a day, now it draws 5 to 6 dkh a day by feeding them.

Right now, As long as my nitrate is below 10 ppm. I dose.

1 mL per 100g

I feed frozen 2x a day ad pellets in between either TDO or new life spectrum. I let my fish feed my corals. in my experience when stuff grows fast it just creates more work to trim and cut back stuff. This is a hobby for most there is no need to rush. This is what happens when your corals grow fast. That’s just my 2 cents on rushing growth.

Still a believer? I know zero nitrates is okay, but I’d like to at least hit the scale. Phosphates are consistent at 0.17.
Still feeding the fish sauce. Now at 25 mL per 100g as my nitrate stays low around 5 ppm.

I use salifert nitrate test kit, I like this kit as there are two way to compare the color against the color chart. From top down and from the side of the vial, when you view from side way, your result will be divided by 10.
For example, when the color is too light to tell from viewing above, view from the side.

This is a known issue in Xenforo ver 2.3.7, They are supposed to fix the bug in 2.3.8 but there is a fix that i tried. Try again and let me know if it still does it.
