Acropower??

I know some people were using Acropower I purchased some and plan on trying it out. The instructions say it can be used daily or at least once a week just looking for some feedback as to how often to dose and how much...Do you like it?

It's an Amino Acid formula for corals, it is widely used and a lot of people like it for coral growth and overall health.

I dose once a week, I do 1 and a half caps full of it for my 40b and 20L sump. My sps and lps go crazy when I dose it. The sps polyp within a hour are fully out and happy as can be. My lps get really really puffy and the colors look amazing. I have had a sps coral change to totally different colors after I first started dosing it.

When I had tanks, I put it on my 4th doser head and did a little doese throughout the day, saw great growth and color.

Definitely great stuff, just don't overdose too much it can trigger cyano. I now dose about half now.

Yeah, I have to dose NO3 (sodium nitrate aka Stumpremover) otherwise my SPS start to pale. I guess with a bare-bottom tank, skimmer, gfo/carbon it can easily go nutrient deficient!

I do to some degree, I think I use 1/4 of GFO they recommend, haven't changed it on months. I've tried running my skimmer only at night but my pH drops significantly. Can't really do anything about the bare bottom. Also I believe I have more control over the parameters if I only add what is needed. Plus like any reefer I like to tinker!
