Acros tips slime when feeding frozen?

I never ran into this before maybe someone can help me. Recently I noticed when I feed frozen food to the fish (Brine, Mysis, etc) some of the Acros (not all) slime at their tips for a few hours. Then some of the slimed tips loses its polyp and color turning white like as if the tip has bleached. Only the tip though the rest of the coral is fine.

Any ideas why, I never saw this before and I have had those Acros for a long time, this just started all of a sudden a week ago.

Is the food old? Was it ever defrosted by accident? How long do you let it sit in a cup of water before you add it?

The food is not old and hasn’t been defrosted before, are you thinking that something might be wrong with the food? If so would the fish still eat it and be fine because they are fine. I am just baffled this never happened in my experience before.

Thanks.
