Acrylic Aquarium???

Looking to have a custom acrylic tank manufactured , any suggestions as to where to have this done? Is there a company in Maine? thanks for your help

Are you doing acrylic for a specific reason? I ask only because of the scratching issue. There is a co. in ME, I just can't remember the name. Anyone? Anyone?

Give a lot of thought to acrylic....I can't think of many advantages other than it makes some things easier to do, easy is not always the best way.

I am looking for a corner tank with dem 28" sides and 36" tall not sure if it can be done in glass? so definately can be done in acrylic

Acrylic does offer some pretty major advanteges namely

it's clearer
it's stronger
it's lighter
it's easier to drill


of course it also scatches if you look at it wrong. The scratches can be buffed out but it's a major pain in the a**.

Acrylic has lots of advantages but...after the last one I set up I said to myself, not ever again. It was a set up for a friend and hes very meticulous and he had to buff some scratches out a few months ago having the tank for maybe a year.

Flat front or bow Steve?
If flat it can be done either way.
