How can you take good pictures under your blue lights? I keep trying but they look nothing like it does in person?

What camera are you using?
I use a Nikon D60, the last set that I shot under moonlights I used 400 ISO, 1/3 at f5.6. This is with the kit 18-55mm lens

LOL - My Ipad... womp womp

I also have access to a 14.1 MP Casio Exilim

I just want to get an actnic shot that looks better than this:

You could make some adjustments with Photoshop, Lightroom (which I use to organize all my pictures) or a program like Gimp (free GNU licensed)

I use Gimp at work to analyze color (RGB values) for product rendering! So I should be able to tinker with that program... thanks for the help. So basically use the better 14 MP camera without flash then fix up in Gimp? I assume I use the color balance or something similar?

Yes you should be able to do it with Gimp. If your taking pictures and you want to show how it florescence in actinic light do not use a flash you could adjust the F stop and ISO to adjust the amount of light it captures on the Casio if it allows you. Not much you can do on the iPad though other that post editing, Photoshop Express is a free app but I have not tried it yet.

Looks like you need to change the white balance... Not sure if you can do that on an iPad, but if you can, try setting it to daylight or cloudy. That's what I set my android phone to and they come out ok.

That is what I want... in person there is an insane glow on my corals under actnic lights. In pics, blahhhh

I leave my white balance the same as it is when I shot during the normal light of the tank and have more success in the actual color appearance under moonlights that way and just adjusting the ISO and F stop. Also on he iPad there is no adjustments within the camera app that I have seen

Wow! HuuTa was right. I have been trying to do the same thing with my Nikon, but just snapped these pics with my iPhone.
