Adjusting salinity

Are there any calculations I can do or is there any trick to adjusting salinity?
I am trying to dial in my just-filled tank. I added the salt but not enough because my salinity is a little low.
I was going to just add more salt a cup at a time and measure in between until I get there...is that the best way or is there a way to figure out how much I need in one fell swoop?
thx

Usually tells you on the box. Around 2 cups for every 5 gals. I always measure the salinity in each bucket and let sit for 30 before adding to tank.

I mean I have 135g at a certain salinity and I want to raise the salinity. Hmmm....that may be the key. If 1/2 cup per gal takes a gal from 0 to 35, then I guess I can figure out how many cups per 135g that will raise the whole thing 3 points. The power of math :)

I added 1/2 cup per gal (RS Coral Pro) but then had an ATO mishap that lowered my salinity.

yep, got it. 2 cups per point salinity on 135 gal system. I think.

That calculator work great when trying to lower salinity. Not so much when raising. Your calculation sounds about right. I would add half then check the result.
