Having a rough reintroduction after some travel and I must admit a total detachment from my Nano altogether. Moved last November and under construction so that may have something to do with it . . .
The tank survived three moves to two locations in the house and is finally resting up in the attic which may eventually turn into a fish room . . . my wish list.
I did upgrade my JBJ the first of the year with Nanotunner's LED hood . . . unfortunately it stressed most of my SPS at first but I thought they would recover. I then had an unknown species of macro algae on an addition of Cheato I bought from TIA that invaded my main display (my fault, completely detached from maintenance) This forced me to break up several rocks and SPS. I tried the wire brushes and tons of scrubbing but the roots went deep. For those that are minimal impact, I am sorry, I did have to dispose but rest assured most were once frags from shops.
Alright, enough background information, I had a question about the Tunze Nano 9002. I realize after I purchased it that it goes in back of the main slot to the JBJ that I am currently using as a sort of refugium/carbon/GFO . . . does anyone have advice as to how to use carbon/GFO with this setup? I thought about making smaller bags of carbon/GFO and placing in side slots but this may limit flow back there which I noticed from all the maco algae build up. I have a heater and float switch back there so it is tight. I also thought about a sump etc, but this may be over kill. Would appreciate any ideas you may have . . . I am back to the addiction.
