Advice fragging Gorgonian

Is it better to clip the top or to prune from the sides? Does it behave like a plant when it grows back? Like if I clip the top, will it fork and grow two new tops?

It’s a common purple synthetic Grubes Gorgonian.

Don’t know about the growth but I can give you a tip on the gluing part.
once you cut it take a little part of the flesh off like you are striping a wire and glue that rod down without actually glueing the flesh. Sometimes the flesh will rot if the glue goes over it and it just keeps decaying.

I don’t trim the gorgonians too often. From what I’ve seen, the Grube’s variety grows upward and has long center branches with smaller side branches.

Either. It’s very hardy.
