Advice: Is it ok to turn off Skimmer for 12 days?

Im off to HI tomorrow for two weeks and to make things easier on my fish caretaker I am considering turning off my skimmer for the entire duration of my vacation. my skimmer has overflowed a few times in the past 8 months which lead to some puddles on the floor so id like to avoid this while i am away.

in a 75g mixed reef w/fuge, whiteface tang, flame, bartletts, pair percs, 6 line....would my tank be ok for the two weeks with no skimmer?

i do have an airstone which i may put in to keep my ph in check..any opinions, suggestions?

I would definitely add an airstone or two. But as long as they are underfed not OVERFED, I would think that they would be fine. What do you have for corals??? Any SPS? they may not be too happy.

Is your skimmer in a sump? If it was, you could just lower the level in the skimmer and leave the collection cup off to keep your ORP up.

If you have SPS, they will probably not be psyched about the nutrient level after 2 weeks of no skimming.

i do have sps so that is definitely my concern there.

my skimmer is in sump and i was thinking about leaving the cup off. maybe i will just leave everything as is and have the skimmer running while im gone.

I usually turn mine back a bit so it's skimming on the dry side when I'm going to be gone for a long period of time.
