After visiting The Macro Lady'a Booth at FFM this year I was inspired to do an apothecary build. I found a decent sized apothecary jar for $5 on FB marketplace and threw in some snails, hermits, sand, rubble and bought an arrow crab.

I used a spare light, small heater and sponge filter and threw in some macro algae and it's growing like crazy so far! I bought a few of The Macro Lady's kits that should be coming in a week or two (some part is backordered) and I plan to make a few more as they're cool and super easy to keep up!

I do need to make the cover smaller as I made it at my father in law's on a whim and didn't know the diameter of the top and I guessed too large!

It should look even better with 1-2 more of them and when I finish the rest of the stand and can display them better!

Nice! I wonder if the Arrow crab would like some bristle worms to snack on or if you know some freshwater people, pest snails.

Also do you like the Fiji cube AIO tank insert seen on your other post? Is there a gap on the sides of it?

He eats everything I toss in there like a pig!

Also do you like the Fiji cube AIO tank insert seen on your other post? Is there a gap on the sides of it?

I like it and it works for what I need it to do. I didn't really focus on aesthetics when I put it in there and there is a small gap.

That's a good question! I haven't done a water change since I set it up. I did add fresh water to fill it up more but the water is clean and the macro in there is growing like crazy! I have a small magnetic cleaner I bought at FFM and I've never had to use it to clean the class.
