Since I couldn't really do more with the aquascaping since I couldn't see anything I hung the lights. Hung a 32" and 16" Photon V2+.

Cool idea. Seems like a lot of work. I am curious why you chose to nipple them together? Could you not have just plumbed them both to the same sump and still lined them up next to each other, achieving the same drop off look? I would assume that none of or most of the fish will not travel between the two tanks?

I was hoping they would travel between the two tanks. I had toyed around with using 3" bulkheads but they just seemed way to big and didn't want to risk drilling that size hole.

I figured you were going for that. Did you think of drilling the nipples low in the tank? Then the fish that would prefer the drop off/quieter areas of the tank would be more likely to go through them.

If you feed only on one side for a few days, then switch to the other side a few days, they’ll figure it out pretty quick! (Assuming they can fit.) Cool idea, keep the updates flowing

I plan to have an automatic feeder on each end and I will alternate what times they go off and when I finish the DIY frozen fish feeder I will do the same.
