Algae questions....

So I think my tank is just over 2.5 months old. All of the sudden I have lots of algae on my glass. If I wipe it down it is back like an hour later. I have a led bio cube 32 and I have white lights on for about 6.5 hours and the blues on for about 8.5 hours. It is away from the windows and not getting lots of sun light. I have filter floss on the top part of my second chamber with chemipure elite below that and have some life rock below that. In my tank is 3 Nassarius snails and 4 astrias a skunk cleaner shrimp 2 clowns and a blue damsel as well as some coral.

As far as parameters go I have this....
Sal. 1.026
Ammonia 0
Ph 8.2
Phosphate 0
Nitrate 0
Calcium 460
Kh 8


So any ideas? This algae is driving me nuts as it was clear not a week ago. I am willing to try anything to clear it up. Thanks for the wisdom and advice.

It is just the normal way of things. Your tank is VERY new. Many people call it the ugly stage. As your tank matures it will cycle through several forms of algae. Just keep up with the water changes, make sure to change out that floss often and it will all be fine.

Patience is key in this hobby. I like the rocks scape btw. Keep it up.

25 % weekly will be more than enought. And I will increase the number of eating algae snails

And it will be better to if you increase all your cleaning crew. Some blue legs hermits crabs, more snails (not nasarius), 1 bri ttel star, etc. In that way you have detritus and algae eaters.

the reason your nitrates list as zero is the algae is consuming it. More cleanup crew, more nutrient export

I second the above. Lots of algae cycles taking place. Just give it some time and add to your clean-up crew.

Referencing nutrient export, perhaps a few more words are necessary. Snails convert the algae to poo which is exported via a skimmer or water changes. If you have a refugium, it is exported by cutting the macros and removing them from the tank. What bad stuff you put in, e.g. food, must be removed one way or another. The clean up crew merely converts the algae to a form that is easier to remove - it doesn't actually remove the bad stuff by itself. If the poo is not removed, it will break down and continue to feed the algae and the cycle continues.
