So I'm having this stringy algea issue wonder what it is doesnt seem to bad just gets stuck on my softys and aggravating them.

I've noticed that on my softy as well. I'd hate to say but more than likely it's cyano.

Has it only been on that leather?
Has the leather been closed?
Could be it was shedding?

Or shedding was my other guess but i don't have experience in leathers so i don't know...

Its is on most of my softies but there is 2 big ones that arnt open that are covered by it. The rest are still open and dont really seem to be affected by it yet. Would it be possible for 2 to shed at the same time the are right next to each other.

Leathers are weird sometimes. If you do t have cyano anywhere else in the tank , I highly doubt it be growing on your corals unless they’re not happy.
