Almost, almost there

I'll bet it was...that is the problem when u take on a role in this club..(reef club) you eventually end up reefless cause of the time spent on the club....enjoy....the highs & the lows!!

well, here is the work in progress.

still need to clean the inside glass, run more carbon and do my 150g water change - but the wrecked hand is a slowdown

Looking pretty good from what I am looking at.

Looks great Jay glad to see it full!

Dinos?

so here's the latest beautiful pic from my tank. Just spent 9 days away, came home to a mess o'algae on the glass.....got some off, long snotty tendrils in the corals :(

before you ask, alk is a little low, working on that.

RODI is running full speed now. Another 150g on the way.

So happy to see things are going good!! Wish you much continued success :)

ugh, scraping algae on 9 feet of glass is a pain in the glass!

You don't have a Algae magnet?

the one I have isn't designed for glass this thick! It's S_L_O_W going....

do 10 gals per day to help the rock purge rather than all in one instant!! (figure u know that....just tryin to help u remember since u have been out so long!)

keep in mid all of that rock was sitting cured in my basement system for 2 years before it went into this tank. I have detectable phosphates (ugh), so a 30% water change is going to help, as is some old-school wet skimming!

Yeah but you exposed it to the air for quite a bit, and everything else other than the livestock is brand new. Bacteria field day going on in there.

Did you seed the sand bed?

I can post the process photos of filling the tank up, if you want. Nothing spectacular, but photos none the less

small water changes daily after one big one!!!

cloudy water, and the possibility of flashes off my bald spot :p....go for it.

ugh. My DI is toast....going to lose a whole 50g bucket because the TDS is too high. :(

Oh well, new filters and DI tonight, then start over again. I guess the chickens get some extra clean water :p

OH Jay, I think you should just seriously consider Hiring someone to tend your tank, and you just look at and not touch it.... I have a 40 G Bucket of RODI water do you want some???
