am i getting ripped off?

i called a near by glass shop were i live and i asked them how much would it be to drill a 1 inch hole in a tank and he said it will be $20 for 1 1inch hole. am i getting ripped off? or is this a good price? i plan on drilling 2 tanks. so that will be $40 ::

Very standard pricing, some places actually charge a little more than that. BTW, if you are planning for a 1" bulkhead, you don't want a 1" hole. A standard 1" bulkhead requires a 1-3/4" hole.

You can get a glass drilling bit for around $10 and drill your own holes, but that is the price everywhere I asked.

omg thank you so much. i almost made that mistake. i was going to drill the hole 1 inch and get a 1 inch bulkhead. but now i know that won't fit
