I have MANY from my similar friend!!
Every time I clean the tank......stay away, stay away, stay away........doooooooh!

I don't trust anything in my tank. Sometimes I wear two pairs of gloves!

yeah watch it closely if it gets worse see a Doctor. I would be concerned as you have an open sore. Speaking from personal experience when thing like this happen you don't screw around, better safe than sorry

Corals don't really bother me at all. I don't remember ever being stung by corals. Some people might be more sensitive than others. Can't say the same about being bitten by brittle worms though :(

+1 to what Delta said!

Some corals are more stingy than others.

Until I got a long-handled scraper, I used to bump my forearm into a St. Sthomas mushroom that always stung me good.

Pretty bad running nose from alergic reaction last night. My wife gave Benedyl and Allegra to me which helped significantly.

Wow from a hammer of all things, I say that because I move corals all around my tanks, hell even by BTA and never have a reaction to any of them. It could be due to repeated stings from being a PADI dive instructor of many many years and getting my butt stung a lot teach students what not to do all those years, but I just went in to my tank to my hammer and frog spawn and nothing at all. Now the important question to they decide to sting or is it just on any touch. Maybe mine like me and dont sting lol..

You may not react to a sting where others may. Or you may all of a sudden after years react. No real rime or reason to it. I never had any issues for years, then all of a sudden. Last time I went in it was pretty bad so the hospital called NEAQ to get as much info as they could.

I always thought of having reactions to corals as bee stings and allergies. Some do, some don't.

I never had a pollen allergy until I was in my late 20s. So I guess u could theoretically develop one. Probably called "Getting Old"

So far, I've never had any big reaction from corals aside from a little itch skin after prolonged times fraging or moving around some corals...

Yeah, and I never wear gloves... probably should, but never have.

Like delta said, you can definitely develop a reaction after a while. I never had reactions at first. Now I where gloves around certain corals and both my nems. Not worth the aggravation.
