Picked up the anemone of another member maybe a week or so ago. Fairly large rose bubble tip. Been in the tank and looking great for the past week. Nice pink base, locked in a crevice in a rock all spread out and filled up. Today a came home from work to see that hes now much smaller looking, very stringy tentacles, base looks a scary grey color. My large maroon clown who has been completely covered inside of it is now dwarfing the anemone in size. I immediatly checked my water paramaters and were good. PH 8.2 Nitrite, Nitrate, and Ammonia all at 0. Lights are strong, 2 x 250 mh on a 75g tank with pc actinics. Temp has been right at 78 lately. I cant figure it out. Only thing I can think of is I have a small case of poison ivy on my forearm. (yes I know its November, its still alive trust me). And I have reached in my tank. I am completely confused by this one. Any help is appreciated.

My guess as well...your anemone could just be expelling waste, we saw the same many times with our anemones in the past.:)

Hopefully that's all it is, and she'll be all beautiful and inflated again in no time. ;)

I have the same anemone, I wouldn't worry too much, mine does this once and a while and always comes back looking finne.

Mine looks great to crappy every several days. Depends on the mood I guess.
