Another survival story!

I just found a Yellow Watchman goby in my 92G.

Fact is - I put this guy in the 75G tank!! I was trying to pair him with my other YWG in the 75G. The two tanks are not close together and the 92G has a cover, there's no way he could have jumped from one tank to another.

So again, a fish went through the sump, the sequence pump and then back to tank. Unbelievable!

just playin, in all seriousness....that must be pretty intense for a fish to do...

the sequence pump has an intake of 2", very large. i think that explains why a fish can go through it. the propeller is probably large too, with wide spaces where the fish can go in and be catapulted without getting hurt.

armando..put a few baby carrots in the sump and "test" this little theory of yours

problem is that i don't like swedish fish so I would end up with an entire package of swedish fish that I don't want to eat. gummy worms (or gummy bears), on the other hand, i LOVE and I'll have no problem eating the remaining ones after this "test".

You could do both and have a race. $5 on the swedish fish to win and the gummy worm getting chopped into pieces. I'll eat the leftovers

I'm not buying it!
The likelihood of someone F-ing with you and moving your fish around or that your F-ing with everyone here seems infinitely more probable than 2 fish making it through the sequence unscathed in 2 weeks.


I've had sequence pumps apart before the impeller blades are spaced less than an inch and the opening in the housing they move by is just more than that. It spins at how many thousand RPMs? and.....a yellow watchman goby (a good sized fish) makes it in between blades. ........ Twice?

i know, that's why i mention - it's hard to believe. but...there is no other way the fish could have gone from the 75G to 92G unless going through the pump.

- the tanks are too far apart, he could not have jumped

- i never put a yellow watchman goby in the 92G. Both fish were added to the 75G

- No one moved the fish from one tank to another
