I am going to be gone from This Thursday until Thursday the 7th, and I have my tank covered until the week of the 4th-7th. My Neighbor will feed the tank for those days, but I want to have a couple emergency numbers setup to call incase there is a problem. I have one number but I would like another just to be on the safe side. Preferably someone who knows my setup and where I live.

Thanks in Advance,
Dave

Dave, you have my number right? The only time that I wont be around will be from 1st to 4th night.

Dave, I've never been over to your place, but you can keep me on your list. Hudson isn't too far from Sterling, right?
PM me for my number if you want me to cover.

Dave, I'll should be back in town by Thurs. I'll pm you my cell if you still don't have it. Might be the closest to you but the most inexperienced with your setup.

Thanks guys, I have 4 different numbers to call just in case, I am not too worried about it, but I like to have the security blanket. My Neighbor will be watching the tank for the 4 or 5 days that Dan will be away, and I just asked her to feed, check to see the pumps are running, check the skimmer cup and the overflow, if there is any problem to call, so hopefully there will not be any problems, but you never know. I have been cleaning out pumps and make sure everything si the way it should be, so I am trying to take every precaution.

The things we do for our fish tanks...

I'll be around, Dave, you have my number...
I will be more available once we are into July, I believe.

Well I am back and it one peice. I am now a happily married man. Costa Rica was a really fun, we did a ton of stuff. Saw a bunch of sea turtles, tons of puffer fish, scorpion fish, eels. Not too much coral. The visability was not great, but ti was fun just to get under the water. We did a bunch of other stuff, all of which was really cool.

The good news and the bad news...

THe badnews first, while I was gone for the wedding, I lost my yellow watchman goby and 2 of my beloved clowns. I came home from the wedding, and one had been accounted for, the other 2 were mia. All my inverts and corals were fine. So the biggest clown and the smallest clown were the two to survive (the smallest one is my favorite... cutest) so that was one of those well at least that one survived. The bigger clown did not look too happy so I made some. I made up some garlic food, and told Dan about it. I left early the next day hoping they would stay alive. Well I got home and they were both alive and looking good. So thanks to Dan for doing what you did while I was gone.
Now what the heck could have happened, I did lost my potters angel a few weeks before to what seemed like ich, but it came on hard and fast. I did a water change, cleaned my pumps and skimmer, made sure as much that could be done to not have any problems, all before the wedding. To clean I used vinager and water, nothing else, so that should not have caused any problems. Does anyone have any ideas. Has anyone else had a problem with losing fish lately?

It's not blood sucking fish eaters is it? ;)
Just kidding, I'm in the middle of a war with these guys.

Dave, Congrats on the wedding. I didn't know, I've been a little out of touch lately. Costa Rica is beautiful, I was there in the eighties while I was in the service. Started drinking on a beach in Panama and woke up getting kicked off of some resort in Costa Rica :) ????
Sorry to hear about the fish, but it sounds like an exceptable loss for a trip. I went away for 4 days for memorial day and lost all the fish in both tanks except the clowns. That was a, well at least that Falco hawk is finaly gone, but I lost a pink spotted watchman goby, purple tang, couple of purple firefish, a large mandarin, red scooter blennie....etc.

Hey, congrats on the marriage, Dave!
