A 30 minute dip seems to work for people on rc. But params like ph, and temp need to be the same.

I'd follow the directions of the article, but be very wary of putting a clam in basically what amounts to hyposalinity unless the clam was showing signs of disease. Do you have a lot of clams in your system you do not want to infect with a new clam?

I dipped my clam last night and it's looks 110 time better already less than 24 hours latter, it works grate.

the calm was showing signs for about a week. it didn't look like it had long to live. I have 6 clams but only 2 were showing signs. one was bad and the other was just starting. I dipped them both and if any of the others start to show signs I will dip them too. the fresh water doesnt seem to bother them all that much.
