Anyone in here experts on Apex EnergyBar 832

Hello guys,

I bought an energy bar 832 used and it was working fine for a couple months and then out of know where, the orange neptune light went out along with the indicators, my modules connected to 1link went offline and my Aquabus, but for some reason the power sockets were still delivering power. Then when I unplugged it and plugged it back in nothing worked but the fan and some clicking

I opened her up and didn't find any water or salt. Not sure what's wrong. When plugged in the green LED on the bottom right component is lit but nothing else.

I am technically inclined to make a repair.

Any ideas?

@Reefer508 thank you for this. But my EnergyBar failed in a different way. I have no lights on the device, no power to the outlets, no power or data from the side panel.

Test any USB for 12 volts when plugged into 120v. Apex(in their infinite wisdom) runs their USB connections at 12v, not 5. The green led means the power supply is working, but is the voltage not making it where it needs to go? This is a very odd way for one to fail. Look on YouTube for a channel called reeffix I think. The guy is a pro and can even show how to replace chips and surface mounted parts if you're not scared. Good luck and don't trash it, there's always good parts to be salvaged. Your unit looks later without the intertek sticker or at least has the Meanwell relay already.

Yeah. It has the intertek sticker on the back but it has the meanwell 12v PSU installed. It must've been upgraded at some point.

Something is weird here. The original relay that failed in these units has a different mounting pattern and requires an adapter board to align with the pins on the motherboard. Your Meanwell relay appears to be up tight against the mother board suggesting it's a later model and not an Intertek. Cases can be swapped so if you say it has an Intertek sticker ok, but I haven't seen this before and think you have a swapped back case or something. Maybe someone else can chime in and either confirm or correct what I believe to be going on here. Please post what the final resolution is here. Good luck with it.
