Ray,
water tested Alk ~4 CA~400 Nitrates 0 :) and Phosphates 0. might be a little off because the water was already in the tank for 24 Hrs and my reactor is running at 850 ppm and 19 DKH

Scott things are going well I trust?

other than another clam pinching.... things couldn't be better with the NSW. i don't think i'll use synthetic again.

Great to hear Scott!

Ok as for a price, it will be .50/gal picked up or delivered with a .40/gal delivery fee
Also if it is ok I can do p/u at the meetings for .65/gal
I am sure I will have some kind of min amount because I know I do not want to travel 100 miles for a small amount of water, but I dont mind going to an area for a group of people wanting small amounts :)

Ray, I'd want to know where your picking it up, with relation to harbors and anchorages since boats nearby will contribute petroleum and human contamination, and I'd like to have it from an incoming tide, when it hasn't rained in the last day.

Is all that reasonable within your plan?

FWIW, I collect from the Falmouth area. I noticed that when I am offshore, during an incoming tide, my water is much cleaner. I collected from the entrance to my river (Eel pond, Menahaunt Yacht Club) and found far too many unknown sediments and even had a nice sheen of gas or oil on top. I dumped that water in the woods and sterilized the bucket again.

I'm sure that it is really a "hit or miss" thing. I've collected close to shore on an incoming tide during mid week (less boat traffic) and have had no problems.

I always use carbon, aerate and heat for two days before testing and ultimately making the water change. I also ensure that I boost the calcium. It tends to be low here in the NE.

Nate, I would never collect on an outgoing tide, near a drain, or after rain.
No boats are usually in a couple of spots (private beach in Beverly) or if there was heavy boat traffic I would not collect. I plan on noting all the conditions on each tank I fill up. I just got back from getting NSW for my tank, I only got 150 gallons because I saw a boat heading my way in the distance so I shut down the pump and left, before there was a chance of anything getting into my water, no boats for 15-20 mins prior to the start of collecting.
