I have mine going to an old drywall. The part that is exposed to the atmosphere (couple of feet) I put a 3 inch pipe around it and spray foamed the void. Only time it froze was during a extreme cold snap, dying that time I just had it go into a bucket.
If it's a proper A/C drain it might have a trap to hold water and this would absolutely freeze. If there is no trap, and your drain doesn't hold water I think would work as the waste water is warm and should drain out just fine as long as you have no low saggy runs that would hold water. If you have good pitch go for it, I think you'd be fine.
That's what I do as well. Even easier as I moved my washer and dryer to the main floor and I use the hot and cold lines and T them into one line with the hot water slightly on so it's warmer and the RODI system is more efficient!I put mine in my washing machine drain
Same. Two AWC tank drains and the RODI as well.I put mine in my washing machine drain
