Anyone up for LFS tour

I'll be going to nascar, so the oct3/4 dates work for me. I like the 15 person van idea

I think that as word spreads past this thread there will be a lot more people that will want to participate. Is this something that just a group of us friends are doing or is this a club sponsored event? Either way will be fun, but since there have been no meetings lately and I don't see any coming up soon, this could be an opportunity for the club. Its time for some new ideas and events, and this is a great one. Also, we need to let the stores know that we are coming in advance so they can have plenty of stock available. They are going to want to take advantage of 15+ people coming to their store and you have to give them time to prepare. They may have special deals for club members if we have a large crowd. If you watch Marks video, you can see that this is huge for the stores and people spend plenty of $$$$$$. I think September is a little too soon, and we need to do a little more planning.

If this gets too large, like 20 people bombardment on an LFS at one time, count me out. The LFS's just don't have the footage or display space for that number. Flashbacks to Black Friday shopping.

Maybe Jay's could handle it, but not the others.

We can always do more and after this I think Tank tours would be in order as well as some reefers get together. No need to make this complicated

I wouldn't worry too much about that being an issue. I would think 15 would be max on one of these trips given schedules and location/.

I think that is the case for many poeple. But since there is no way to see all the stores in one trip another trip needs happen. Make sure to post your off weekends.

Pick the day Oct 3rd or 4th for the northern route we can pick which store we actually want to hit. I think 4 is pretty reasonable. AA, LTR, OIG, Jays.

I maybe interested but the family life on weekends may make it tough to commit. I am looking to add my first corals to the tank and the timing is about right.
