Anyone use this acrylic glue

That will work for repairs but it's messy and not the strongest. For a good repair you usually want to locate the crack/leak, and then apply an acrylic patch over it. Using weldon #4 will come out better and be stronger, #16 is a bit easier to work with if you've never tinkered with acrylic before. You will need to take the leaking sump off line for at least a day so you can dry it out, make the repair, and then let the solvent cure.
You can get either weld on product at jfreeman in boston if you want it in a hurry. If you go with #4 you will want to get a needle applicator to go with it, and check the date on the bottom of the can, don't buy it if it's over a year old.

Nope, no need to sand anything. Just use a clean piece of acrylic sheet that's a little larger than the damaged area.
It's really not "glue" per say. Weldon is a solvent that actually melts the acrylic parts together and then evaporates leaving the parts welded together. Weldon #16 is solvent but with a good amount of acrylic material dissolved into it so it has the capacity to fill small voids and is a little more forgiving if the parts don't fit together well, but it's messy and not nearly as strong as #4. Either way, no need for sanding or anything like that, just make sure the patch is clean and if the leak is along a seam, make sure that the mating edge of the patch is cut straight and clean. (if you don't have a handy supply of acrylic LMK, I could make you a patch and mail it to you)
