As far as pump location, I think it just depends on your space parameters right? I mean, the less plumbing behind (or below) the tank the better.

I really like that OM stuff as well, albeit a bit more $$ than a couple of SCWDs. The "tsunami" video was very cool, but I couldn't follow how it was being accomplished by the video. Although, the tank water level was a "bit" out of control for an normal tank.

Definitely go w/the large bulkheads. I only drilled (2) 2.5" holes for my 125g & wish I had drilled a 3rd. But I was only drilling one short side & didn't want too many in a short side

I'm going to have to postpone again, sorry.
I just talked to Marc about setting up the Oceans Motion gizmo, and I want to see one in operation first. He'll have his set up in a week or 10 days. I want to wait to make any changes until after that.
