anyone watching great barrier reef predators

Oh man I missed most of it, I forgot when it was on. Set the timer for tomorow! I saw a really cool show on the science channel one night, it was all about fish and inverts that live real deep in the ocean, and they we're the coolest looking things I've ever seen...lemme see if I can find it on thier site.

i saw it it was pretty interesting and we think we have predetor problems.
i wonder if there theroy of fertilzers running off into the ocean is the cause of the increased population is correct. it does make sence that the increase in algea cells could increase the survival rate of the crown of thorns in early stages of life allowing alot more of them to make to adults.

if you didn t see it these starfish mow down corals reefs (great barrier reef) they invert their stomach around the coral and suck the life right out of the coral.
they are multiplying at a massive rate since the 60s and it appears it is a direct effect due to farming and the fertilizers they use that run off into the ocean. the fertilizers contain high amount of nitrogen and phosphorus perfect for algea blooms. this is the claim they made on the show

Will it be on again? If so when and what station?

I've heard there is a great predator around here. name is littlep.

JUST KIDDING! :D

S**t I missed it again

I think a tank break down & sale brings out the predator in all of us. Just wish I had time to travel to pu. Trying to get 2nd floor finished before NEXT Christmas

The show after that was actually pretty cool too... among other things, they were collecting red slime algae from the bottom of the ocean to extract chemicals for use in cancer medications.

I saw that to and was like "I know what that is, it is all over my 2.5".

Dammit, will they play this again?
Looks like today mighta been the last day?

I tried to watch it today but the channel wouldn't come in. It didn't show a message saying I wasn't subscribed to the channel or anything. Just a black screen with the occasional pixelization.
