Are baby snails nocturnal?

It looks like I have a bunch of baby snails crawling over my rocks at night. As far as I can tell they are baby cerith and maybe baby turbos. I have many adult ceriths in my tank, but no adult turbos. Perhaps the baby turbos came in on some live rock....

At night when I look at the tank with a flash light I see the baby snails all over my rocks. During the day I dont see these baby snails though. Has anyone noticed smaller snails being nocturnal? Perhaps as an anti-predatory behavior?

Probably anti-predatory. Do you have any Clams?

ive always known snails to be nocturnal or more active at night. i hope what you have are not tiny cone shaped white snails. they like to prey on clams. i had snails reproduce for me and i got about 7 babies out of it in my refugium. they were baby black turbos. they are always more active at night.

they are tiny, white and cone shaped, but I dont have any clams so I guess I wont worry. Whatever the snails are they have really helped with some of my hair algae issues.

well good thing no clams there them snails burrow in the foot and slowly eat them
