Opinions needed:

I am looking into a ATO for my tank now. Tired of every other day top off. Yes I am wanting to be lazy . Lol
But seriously , I am wondering if I should go Tunze Nano osmolator 3152 or Tunze 3155 ..... Or invest in a Digital aquatics RKL basic or plus?

I can buy right now the 100.00 tunze nano, or the 190.00 tunze 3155 , and or the RKL basic 105.00 or RKL + for 250.00
But not sure of the difference in the controllers and if I still wi need to add to to the controller for ATO and how that works.

Thanks for your input and help.
Chris

Depending on the controller you might need to also buy a break-out box and/or float switch(es).

On my system I had an Apex Jr with the breakout box. I used a float switch as an emergency shut-off. For ATO I just figured out the evap for a day, figured out how much time my pump needed to pump that much water, and then set up an oscillation cycle to top-off over the entire day.

If you don't have a controller I'd say buy one and use that to configure an ATO system. You'll never want to deal with this hobby again without a controller.

where do you get the float switches i tried lows and they dont know what i was talking about they sent me to the house sump pumps (pluming)

I was looking at the RKL (plus) on bulk reef supply . That's how and why of this post. Lol, I have zero exp. in this area so this is why I was asking. Hahaha

Can get a RKL for $150, do the ATO function and more. I don't understand the need for seperate ATO product.

I have a rkl but use a jbj ato and it works great for the past year. One incident in that time which did suck but was my fault. I was only using one float valve should have been using two.
I was running without an ato for like a year and honestly an a.t..o is up there with best purchase thus far for this hobby. Plus it keeps the water more stable.

Pulled the plug, and ordered a jbj on sale at BRS for 71.00 and a 5.00 off coupon via email on my group buy. I also went with the apex lite. From a new local business that just started , saved 30.00. On the apex lite and ph probe. Enough money spent for a while. Got to save for my WP-25's when Jebo has them... So I supported the lfs guy and took advantage on my BRS points and got the JBJ ATO....
