Aussie Acans feeding help.

Any feeding tips for Aussie Acans? I am trying to feed them frozen mysis when the lights are off with a syringe but they don't seem to take any of them in. I have had them for a few months now without much growth but they do look healthy.

i feed during the day when i feed
i wait about 15 mins after then there fully open

I read that they eat at night with no lights on. What do you feed yours and how do you do it?

mysis shirmp and a turkey baster turn your flow down or off during feeding it will be easy to target feed

I do the same as Bijian. mine are closed at night, and as soon as I put food in there they open up. I just turn punps down.

so is this acan lord or acan enechina(sp?) turn the flow off if possible, and try to feed a couple of heads first then the other ones will open up wider and be easier to feed

I just slip a cutout 1 liter soda bottle around the acan and feed with a turkey baster...cuts all the flow and keep fish and shrimp from stealing the food. If you place the food directly on the top of the polyp, it should open up. It also helps to squirt some feeding water at it and wait five minutes...

Another tip you can try is put the mysis/brine in more water than you need to feed them and use some of that extra water and squirt that on the acans. This should help them stick off their feeders even more. Do this with the PH's off...
