Battery Powered Air Pumps?

jay, IIRC you ran vortechs in the past, are you running them on this new set-up? The vortech battery backups are an excellent investment.. albeit a bit more expensive, but moves a lot more water and creates a good deal more oxygen i would think..

joel, keep in mind I have a 13,000 watt standby generator.

the B11's are basically for if a breaker trips. I also have a UPS on a circuit, so the annoying beep will get my attention....

But unfortunately, problems can occur at night while you are sleeping. If a storm comes through and power is off for even 2 hours, depending upon your system you may find all the large fish dead in the morning. It's happened to me, and it's a DRAG.

That is a very good point. I might look into getting some of the B11s then. Or maybe a UPS to hook one of my powerheads up to.

I want a battery power'd pump! If there's any group buy I want in.

O question for JayM are you going to have a display of some short to discribe how these things could help in a reef disaster?
