Best LFS in MA?

Anybody got an idea what the best one is?
No sponsors are allowed to vote!!

I have just not been happy with the MA fish places, but maybe I haven't really found a good one yet. Either they are super expensive, have very little selection or... Some places, the guys there are great but their prices are super high. Other places they just don't have much inventory and I am a look/touch/see kinda buyer, so I hate that. Help me out here. What is the best place to go? Is there a nice big place in Boston?

I am thinking...Sea World (Salem NH) or bigger, but more honest and TONS cheaper. Any body have a "GOOD" LFS?

I tend to go and get advice from the small local fish store guy, cuz they are so helpful, but when I find out something is 20+% more there then elsewhere, I buy it elsewhere. It makes me feel guilty, so please help me find a LFS with the best of both worlds.

Thanks,
Dave

i like cra he's always got what i need, not a huge store but jeremy and ruth know what there doing, phishy buisness sounds like it will be a great store also...

I have been to AA. Very nice, I spent a lot there last weekend, and Mike is a great guy. Offered me a beer. :) There just wasn't tons to see. Like I said, I am a look/touch/see buyer. Sofar, it is tops on my list though and he can order whatever you want. Prices were decent also. (IT IS IN NH) :)
Any others?
Maybe I am asking too much...

Try Sea Creatures in Revere, Very helpful and he has a ton of tanks! I would go there more often but I hate driving through Lynn, it seems to take forever!

Driving through Lynn is like driving back in time.

By the way, AA is not in MA.

Really only leaves a handful of stores.

Skiptons, CRA, Aqua Dreams TI right now that I can think of are all worth stopping at.

They all have their good days and bad days I'm sure, but for the most part they try to do the right thing by the hobbyist.

Cra gets my vote, always been good to me, nice peole, not huge but usually has some good stuff. Gotta love the squirrel too.

I tend to favor the smaller stores. I generally find they are more focused on the hobby and give the best advice.

I second CRA. They are worth the trip. Nice ORA frags.

Aqua-Dreams is a great little store too. Its almost a 2hr drive for me on average.

Where is Aqua Dreams? I don't know of that one?
Is there any nice big ones in Boston? I kinda wish I could just get stuff at NE Aquarium...
:)

Aqua Dreams, 8 Southwick St., Feeding Hills (Agawam), MA, 01030 - 413-786-1000

I agree that CRA is top of the heap. Plus, they have a squirrel. But if you want a really good store that is a bit closer, I think you can't go wrong with Sea Creatures, in Revere. It really has a very good selection, and getting better all the time. John, the owner, is pleasant, and highly knowledgable too. I highly recomend them.

Aqua Dreams = 100 miles from my house... even farther than CRA.

I will hit Sea Creatures this weekend. I wanna say I went there once before when I was into Freshwater only and thought it was a real cool place.

It has only been open a few months now, since the spring I think

My Girlfriend works at NEAQ, I keep telling her to bring stuff home!! I tell her they must have all kinds of "extra" frags, fish supplies... whatever. No dice, she won't even get advice for me !! :-)

I like CRA. I must say I don't think its right going to your small LFS for all that good advice and knowledge and then to shop elsewhere to save a few bucks, they need our support in return.

Regards,

Jim

Of the MA stores CRA gets my vote too! It is almost a 200 mile drive for me (one way), but I still find it worth the trip once a month! One of the best selections of frags that I have found locally.
