Is there a place to go that has stand plans? I wouldn't want to build one that wasn't set up for the weight of a 75g. If not the slap a bunch of 4X4's together and call it a day?

my 75 is on a home made 4x2 stand with no issues and has 2x250w mh, but ask 10 people and get 15 options, i also have a 55 sump in my basement with pcs and have grown all sorts of stuff in there, but if i was you i would look for a good second hand mh set up as if you go with pcs you will be swapping them out sooner or later. If you are ever in the area you are welcome to come take a look at my set up and most other people are willing to show their tanks off (and you may even get some frags). Hope this helps John

I'm pretty sure I'll go with the 2-250 mh.... I don't want to be swapping alot in the future..... I'm sure I'll have to but later the better and I appreciate the offer, I'll take you up on it when I'm in your area. Appreciate the info.

Now that I've decided on my lights, how about heating? I'm sure there are a thousand out there, but I'm interested in what the majority of people suggest.

mh.....

I looked up MH lighting... I'm a little nervous about the uv and the amount of care you have to take to even put in the bulbs.. I have 2 young kids. Any imput on this?

I make it a point never to let my 3 year old change my bulbs . the glass under the bulb is a special kind or all the life in the tank would be fried. The bulbs can be a PIA to change but you only have to do it once a year.
