Best way to drain overflow

Doing some work on my plumbing.... What's the best way to drain the overflow without making a mess

Pull the duroso out and let it drain. If not that, then a wet/dry vac works well.

A AquaLifter pump will do the work.

either siphon it with a hose or small hose attachment on a wet vac. My father will clean his sump with an attachement he made from pvc and flex hose. works excellently

I just syphon it out with a small hose and bucket, just be careful not to get a mouthful if starting the syphon the old fashioned way. I can tell you from experience it is no fun...
