BioCube 29g with Radion XR30w

I bought a used cube with kessil a80 and decided to "reinforce and paint the stand"
Now I have a pile of awesome equipment and a stand you can barely recognize still under construction (I am installing the built in light mount bar tonight and will post a few of the stand)
I can't make any progress until the stand is finished and its looking to be about a week from completion. Luckily, I have almost all the equipment ready to go so it will come together fast after that.
Here is the original buy the day I got it home in a vinegar/water bath to help clean it up.

Equipment Plan:

Stand - customized stock stand painted white, raised and reinforced
Tank - Biocube 29g
Controller - Apex Jr w/ WXM
Light - Radion XR30
Return - MJ1200
Filter - Intank media and fuge (fuge light)
Heater - Cobalt Aquatics Neo Therm 100w
Flow - MP10
ATO - Apex ATK
Skimmer - AquaticLife Internal Mini Protein Skimmer 115 (not purchased yet)

Here is the stand after attaching the custom light mount. I needed something more sturdy and that wouldn't shut down my middle chamber on the cube after attaching the radion arm.
I also didn't like the height so i added 4 x 4s under it to lift the height. All the panels were bolted together and apoxied from the inside.

Here are a few after a coat was applied to the light mount. Wanted to prevent corrosion on the metal. I also had a few cracking spots on the door and top so i am trying to repair those before i clear coat.

By the way...
This is the result of a new marriage when the wife says sure you can start a new reef tank but can you make the stand is white so it matches the rest of the furniture?
If that is what stands between me and a reef tank, i will make it happen!

So here is the equipment I have so far...

Radion XR30w

Apex Jr with WXM - the ATK top-off is on its way

Intank - media and fuge rack with fuge light

MP10, Heater, MJ1200, VCA random flow

RO Buddie + DI - the one thing i tried to save on, hope i dont regret that...

My rock and sand came in from Marco Rocks. The rock looks awesome. Only issue is I bought a pre-made pedestal rock that broke at the cement bond during shipment. I emailed them and have heard great things about their service so I know we can fix this easily.

Rock is in rubbermaid starting to cycle and putting clear coat on the stand tonight. I am getting excited and ordering some odds and ends i need for the setup

Got the stand home today... The light mount worked out perfectly, real solid.

I found these boot mats and joined them together under the stand. For 10 bucks have some backup on small spills... Was happy with this

And before bed got some power mounted and fired up the light.
Really like the overall look so far and i have some plans to finish off the top of the cube.
Already started running into some equipment issues but will look into those over the next few days.
Radion shuts off after few minutes, but i havent programmed it yet.
MP10 isnt firing up, seems to have a bad connection at driver to power...

Made some progress mounting the Apex Jr today. Will tackle the bottom wiring tomorrow after the meeting. I need the battery backup for my Vortech before I can screw everything in place in the bottom section.
Took a chance with the controller mounted on the door but it worked out really well and should last.

I cant believe I spent 40 bucks on random wiring mounting stuff today... My wife doesn't know, shhh

I have the rock in and aquascaped and my apex is running and everything looks good. I am waiting for a new dry side for my MP10 but that is about all for equipment dfor awhile.

I will be adding a PH module and breakout box on the left side down the road. I plan to have an led turn on when the doors are opened and do some other stuff qith the breakout box. I am still deciding on how to dose for Alk and CA but have plenty of time...

I also have a rear chamber cover in process...

The plan is to bond 1/4" black acrylic to the front, there is a nice flat tab i kept to use to bond to. Then shape it and make it look pretty. It will come down and cover the front view. I am working on a custom order for clear acrylic and clear mesh lid. All said and done it will be a sweet setup and unique for a Cube anyway lol

Looking good. For ca/alk I am starting to lean towards kalkwasser myself as my tank is starting to starve for nutrients.
