I know we have Par meters for rental but I thought this would be a cool tool to add to the fleet of rentals for members. Not sure if it works but have heard people say it’s great and also satisfying to zap lol. I have wrasse so can’t use nudibranchs and peppermint. Precious corals so can’t use butterfly or file fish. Aiptasia X doesn’t work for me, just multiples and upsets surrounding corals

peppermint shrimp or Nudis work better. Also kalley paste it you get ahead of them

Kalkwasser paste as @Cpage101 mentioned. I have one of those wands at my house that a friend left behind. It's really hot or miss to be honest. Peppermints have been my go to, picking a dozen up this weekend at FFM

Wish I could. Kalkwasser paste seemed to make my alk jump lol maybe I made my mix wrong or used too much. Peppermints last 2.5 seconds in my tank with 2 wrasses. If you ever want to rent me the wand I’d love to pay you to borrow it and test it out on my tank!

I have one of those purchased years ago. Not a good Idea IMO for aiptasia because if leave or just break up the aiptasia that creates more of them. Makes babies but I will defer to others with more knowledge on babies. Going with a fish or invert control for aiptasia does work and there are multiple options. I have used Aptasia eating file fish, once added never see an aiptasia again in tank with that fish.

For Majano wand sort of works - if you have say just one that is wide open and easy to reach. Useless for ones you cant reach and if you can pull the rock it they can be manually removed anyway. Unfortunately I don't think there is anything that eats the Majono plague that don't eat everything else like zoas mushrooms and more.

I've had intermittent luck with F Aptasia as well, made by Franks Tanks of Texas

I have one as well, when I had a CBB I used it to break down the large nems so it would eat them. But like Dave mentioned it will just break them up and cause more if you don’t have something that eats them in the tank.

Someone also mentioned to me about using super glue, it works like paste but won’t spike you ALK. This of course only works if you have a couple nems.
