Boy do I need to move some air !!!!

So , one of the biggest challenges of keeping 500 gallons of water in a 12x14 room is keeping the humidity down .a 10 BTU AC , a chiller and a super loud but very high velocity fan set up to suck air out of the room to reduce the humidity . It was at 75% . At that high humidity the floor was getting damp . I have managed to drop the humidity to 60% so far but its taking a lot to do going to try a few other things to see what works best and then fine tune it . any Ideas on the cheap are welcomed setting up central air is not an option at this time .

Dehumidifier works wonder. With the water collection outlet plumbed to a drain pump or just out the window.

Did you say you have the chiller mounted outside? If not I wonder how much it and the AC are fighting each other heat wise?

the chiller is in another room no heat from it gets in this room . yeah de-humidifier I somehow have to get the heat from that out of the room too . the window AC has a dry feature but doesn't seem to work very well

I'm sure they are adding a good bit of heat. I've seen LEDs grow well, maybe down the road.....

Constant 75% humidity in the room/house is definitely not healthy. It will promote mold to grow.
So if you turn off the MH for a day, what's the humidity be? Is the room in the basement? Have you looked into a wall mount AC unit?

I think they're better in humidity control than the window AC.

yeah I am thinking about a wall mount system I think you can run as many as 3 of them off one condenser I would install it myself and just get someone to charge it for me , damn line sets for them are expensive lol

Don't forget that AC pulls a ton of humidity out as it cools anyway. IIRC dry settings just make the AC a dehumidifier, whereas regular AC mode is a dehumidifier and cooler.

Also, is there anyway you could rig things up so that there was vent fan sucking the heat right out of the MH fixtures? Ie, mount the MH in canopies and then have the canopies actively vented outside so the heat is sucked out before it drives up the temp and Humidity in the overall room.

I know you are concerned mostly with humidity, but I'm looking at heat a lot because they go hand in hand, and because a strong AC does a ton of moisture removal in the process of cooling.

I use a portable AC unit in my basement. I tried a dehumidifier but it generated so much heat that I had temperature problems on the tank. The portable AC has flexible tubes that connect to a window panel to vent the heat out. It works so well that I usually have it set to the dehumidifier mode and rarely have to use the AC mode.

Get your self a bathroom fan and exhaust outside. I used to fight it with the Dehumidifier but the Bathroom fan works wonders without all the heat the dehumidifier creates
