Bristle or Fire worm?

This is the best picture I could get of it. I was floating around wrapped in a ball and then landed on the sand and found its way back into the rock work.

Bristle worm. Fire worms are red along the base of the spines.

I have several of these:

The fuzziness of it made me think fireworm but the lack of red coloration had me confused.

Everywhere i read about these worms they all saying these are bad worms. They can catch live fish and live corals and swallow then alive like we swallow salad

The fire worms do not the regular bristol worms.
 
I use to use them as bait when fishing many years ago off the Chelsea street bridge.
 
I consider them part of my clean up crew, and my orchid dottyback keeps most of them at bay.
