Bristleworms

ever wonder what happens when you grab an unsuspecting bristleworm? Not my finger but this is basically what my finger looked like when I grabbed a piece of live rock and wasn't paying attention and there was a bristleworm underneith. Started to get swollen and maybe infected so the doctor is now putting me on 2 different antibiotics....he did his research on the bristleworm sting.

My adult chromis tried eating one once.... He was so startled and in so much pain he was flying around the tank and almost jumped out as well as having seizures..... Needless to say I never want to touch one

must have been a big one. i plucked a few tiny ones out of my tank once and the next day my hand and parts of my arm started to burn. hope you feel better soon

Looks familiar. I just broke down a tank and swapped the contents to another and i went in to scoop through the sand to find my pistol shrimp and came out looking like that. I knew better and still did it, but never claimed to be to smart lol.
