Brown star over grown

I have what looks like brown star polyps that is just taking over the tank and over all my corals. How do I stop it and why is it growing?? It seems like it's on 1 side of the tank of the rocks only

Can those be brown encrusting gorgonian? Can you post a photo of it?

i had purple star polys taking over an area in my tank.i used aptasia x on them and they melted away

I'll try it, these are ugly brown looking. Similar look to encrusting gorgonian but looks slightly diff. I can't upload a pic from my phone
