We won't be able to make it. We will be having company up from Virginia that weekend! Bummer though good topic. Nicole and Steve

BRS Meeting

What's that TV show that they experiment with different theories & things to see if they work or not??? Myth busters???

The mayo thing reminds me of that show..... :D

I live around the corner from the hall so I will be there. You can sign me up for the tank tour as well.

Sweet!
We still need a project manager or captain for the tank tour.
James will likely be staying in Brockton.

sucky... I won't be able to make this one :(

As of now it looks like I am not travelling that week and I may finally get to go to my first BRS meeting. I hope I didn't just jinx myself.

cool, close to me too, i'm 20 minutes away if anyone wants to swing over and say hi to the zoo...oh and the tank...but the tanks still got lots of fuzzy green stuff...so nothin' spectacular to show off lol.
I cant volunteer for anything because ITS MY BIRTHDAY that weekend!!! If its nice weather there may be burgers, beers and dogs at my house though!

stinks that this meeting is so far south... I wish it was closer to NH like Feb. meeting. guess I'll have to take my $150 this month and spend it on strippers or something. haha

Aloha all, New guy here and was wondering about the meetings. This will be my first meeting I hope, not definit yet, to attend. Do I need to bring anything or does it cost $ to get in or what? I get the trading and selling thing, which is great, and the guess speaker but what else happens at these meetings that doesn't envolve mayo wrestling. Coming from southern NH so it's going to be a bit of a hall. Mahalo

No entrance fee. If you want to join as a paid member, bring $20 fro individual or $25 for family membership. Might also want to bring some cash for raffle tickets (usually 3 tickets for $5, I think). Might be some BRS mugs and hats for sale. Might wanna bring money for that. The BRS does take checks.

Mauro is the king of mayo. He uses it like napalm. :p

What else goes on at the meetings? People join the BRS at the membership table, lots of meeting & talking about the hobby with new friends and old. Maybe grab a beer or soft drink from the bar. If there's a local vendor, definitely check out what they have to offer (maybe buy clean up crew and a clam?). General news & announcements followed by introduction of guest speaker. Then the guest does the presentation. Afterwards we have the raffle and frag swap. Oh yeah, somewhere in there the pizza arrives, and people donate a little money to offset the pizza cost.
At the end, clean up and clear out. Some folks then head for an LFS, some folks just sprint home.
