Yeah....after no responses for a week, I went ahead and did a 5% change.....haven't had any ill effects yet. So, when the weather warms a bit and my brother in law puts his boat in I will start up with regular 20% changes.

i don't know how safe that is did you think a bought the gas in the water
i read up about sea water and they a 50 mile pipe in the water and draw water in water from the bottom of the sea just a thought but you know what thought did right

Huh? I've collected NSW for a while now (in good weather) and only went out a couple miles. If I had to take my boat 50 miles off shore, it'd cost me a fortune in gas I'd just buy the Instant Ocean brand name and save me some cash.

Seriously... you just need to check the water before you use it. It's KINDA common sensical

Rob's got a great medium with the Talking Reef Podcast etc. and has asked for some help on projects. I just love being the 'helper bee' and if/when I have an opportunity to pass along info, especially to help the new hobbyist, I'm all for it.
