Bubble Master Owners

Received my Bubble Master 250 on Valentine's Day. I kept it on the lowest setting (factory recommended) for approximately 3 days. On the 18th, I raised it up a 1/4" and there it sits. I have pictures of it up and running on the reef talk forum under "tank overhaul: phase 1..." My previous skimmer was a Euroreef that was pretty much set it and forget it. This Bubble Master is in a whole different league. Very happy with it. So far, set it and forget it as well.

That's good to hear. I haven't read much about having to tweak it. I guess that's because there's not much need in tweaking it.

Wow, you've got the 250? That thing is huge. I imagine it displaces a lot of water in your sump.

So I read your tank description and I take it this is your first system? If so, Lumenarc, Tunze, Neptune, and Bubble Master Hey if your going to do somthing, then do it the right way the first time. You are off to a good start most people start off with Skilters and single tube fixtures. Post lots of pix when up and running.

where did you order the skimmer from, I was thinking of getting the Bubble Master 150.

Since Im too impatient and cant wait for the re-designed 150 model...

would the Bubble Master 200 be too much flow for about 100 gallons of water volume?

i am using one on my 90

I have the BM200 on a 120 + 30 gallon sump. Only been running since last Thursday, got it from Brendan at Aquarium Gallery in Hudson NH. Loving it so far :)

How much was it at the AG? I might just order it off reefgeeks.

I believe Reef Geek is the US distributor for ATI and AG is possibly the only retail shop that gets the Bubble Master. I bought mine from Brendan at AG too.

I figured I may as well get good stuff up front. I try to do that whenever I can. And let me say that the wife loves me for it. :D I'm not setting up yet because my wife is nervous about me leaving the tank for a week while I'm away on a trip. But I'm debating curing some rock in my basement in the meantime. I'll definitely post pics as I go.

Donal, the cost to have one shipped from Reef Geek came out even with AG's price. So I went with AG.

ill probably go with them as well, next time I go to NH, they are most definatly going to be visited.

Make sure they've got one is stock if you plan on making the trip solely for the skimmer. They're kinda few and far between right now. I was in no rush, but it took a couple extra weeks to get the 200's in the store. I guess there was some Customs hold-up.
